BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Lionel Messi led Argentina to a 2-0 victory over Canada on Tuesday, securing their spot in the Copa América final. The win marks Messi's first goal in the tournament and moves Argentina one step closer to capturing their first Copa América title since 2021.

Argentina dominated the match from the outset, with Messi creating several chances for his teammates. In the 20th minute, Messi broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from outside the box. His goal was met with thunderous applause from the home crowd and set the tone for the rest of the match.

Argentina continued to create chances in the second half, but it wasn't until the 71st minute that they extended their lead. Julián Álvarez scored off a cross from Ángel Di María, putting the game out of reach for Canada.
