Honoring the Victims and Heroes of 9/11

On Saturday, September 11, 2023, the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, communities across the country will come together to honor the victims and heroes of that tragic day. In the Valley, several ceremonies and events will be held to commemorate the anniversary.

Gilbert 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

The Town of Gilbert will host its annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Gilbert Civic Center. The event, which runs from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, will feature guest speakers, musical performances, and a wreath-laying ceremony.

Mesa Remembers 9/11 Ceremony

The City of Mesa will host its Mesa Remembers 9/11 Ceremony at the Mesa Amphitheatre. The event, which runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, will feature a candlelight vigil, a reading of the names of the victims, and musical performances.

Scottsdale 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The City of Scottsdale will host its 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Scottsdale Civic Center. The event, which runs from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, will feature guest speakers, musical performances, and a wreath-laying ceremony.
